Think Outside the Box

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
What does that mean? For any up-and-coming artist whether you are a singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and/or whatever, you have to simply create and develop your brand. That is how people identify you... your style and etc. It is a huge part of your branding.

Motivation is a key element to attaining your goals. Motivation is a key factor to dealing with day-to-day pitfalls. Motivation is definitely key to realizing your dreams.

Who said reaching a certain level of success has to be painful? I would beg to differ.  Anyone has the potential of being successful. I do not believe in order to make it in this life you have to get beaten up in order to sustain a certain type of lifestyle or a certain type of status or a certain type of financial success.

I do believe in working hard and working smarter! You can avoid a lot of pitfalls if you prepare yourself by doing your homework!! You cannot have a lackadaisical attitude on life, your craft and your relationship with others, because this will unquestionably lead you down a dead end in the entertainment industry. You have to be excited about who you are as a person and what you’re doing... must be on top or your game!

Two aspects of Artist development includes: marketing and management which are crucial to your success. In order to get people to LIKE you, you must LOVE you!! Networking is very important to learning the industry and getting your name out there by letting people know who you are and what you do. Shout it out to the world!! Somebody is going to listen. Social media marketing is important, but it’s just not enough. You have to make the right connections and be able to sell yourself and your product. If you cannot self yourself, you cannot sell your product. What makes you think anybody else can? You must be able to convince a booking talent agent, talent buyer, music executive, promoter, label, etc. and the public that you are worth it. Why should they invest their money in you? If you do not know the answer to this question, do you honestly think anybody else will either?
