Before You Sign
A contract is a legal binding agreement between two or more parties whereby each party agrees to do something in return for something.
Artists, I cannot begin to stress how very important this is... PLEASE, when you are negotiating a contract make sure that you completely READ and fully UNDERSTAND what you're reading BEFORE SIGNING any CONTRACT!! Capiche?
Translation: "Do you understand?"
Translation: "Do you understand?"
If you have retained an attorney and your attorney has not done a good job making sure that you fully understand the terms of the agreement, then DO NOT SIGN the contract until you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that all of your questions have been answered and you're feeling confident signing is a good business decision.
Because, when you have executed your signature on the contract, you CANNOT, I repeat CANNOT change your mind or change the terms of the agreement unless BOTH parties agree to do so. Sometimes, parties agree to add an addendum to a pre-existing contract. Contracts were designed to protect both parties' interest.

Now, go out there and handle your business the right way! Otherwise, your business will handle you!!! Need I say more?
