How to stay relevant in today’s music industry?
After years of research and speaking with countless musicians, and entertainers and such that have struggled yet maintain a certain level of success over the years, we have discovered that there is not a "secret formula" to staying relevant in the music industry.
The fact is artists must treat everything like it’s their first project. Keep it fresh! They need to stop worrying about the game. Because, the game will take care of itself.
Don’t stop what you’re doing. Be consistent and keep at it every single day. Eventually, your hard work will be noticed and pay-off.
Appreciate the talent that you’ve been given and avoid side-stepping. Strike while the "iron is hot," so to speak. You won’t stay young forever.
It’s that simple. Once again, I repeat, be a trend-setter and not a trend-follower. And, most importantly, avoid taking short-cuts to success because there are not any. If you do, you will find yourself out on a lonely road watching your dreams pass you buy. Take your art work (craft) seriously.
Do what you have to do to survive. Stop worrying about whether you will make it. Just keep on doing what you're doing and trust in your ability to make things happen.
"Success is 90 % perspiration and 10% inspiration."
You choose!
