Upgrade You

Artists, I know this may be difficult to accept, but it's something that must be said... sometimes people are "just not that into you." 

It just means they are not that into your music, film or project and/or etc. for whatever reason. This does not mean that you are not a totally awesome entertainer, musician, writer, actor and/or whatever your skill may be. Nor, is this a reflection of you personally. It's just that it "is what it is."

You have to understand that people generally are "followers" and typically "follow" what they perceive as the "next best thing."

So, what if you feel your career is not moving fast enough... Do you just throw in the towel and give up?

Do you say F##k the world and give up on all your aspirations (your dreams)? Do you take the cowardly way out and kill yourself?

I unequivocally say to you heck no! What you do is keep it moving!!! Keeping working harder (but, smarter) by making better music, film and etc. that will appeal to the masses. You need to continue pushing forward and re-inventing yourself and enjoy your transitioning (work in progress.) The universe has its way of turning the tides. There is a time and season for everything.

Before the legendary Rapper-Extraordinaire/Mega-Millionaire JAY Z, beheld his fortune and abundance of success, he was "hitting" those blocks harder than anybody! Like he says in Beyonce's song title "Upgrade You," I used to beat that block... now I be's the block. What's he's saying is this, he did not take his eyes off the prize (success.) He stayed focused! And, I am sure that he kept his circle of friends/associates very small for obvious reasons.
